Delhi Capitals made rough weather of an easy chase due to a middle-order collapse before recording a comfortable four-wicket victory over a lacklustre Kolkata Knight Riders here on Thursday, keeping their IPL play-off qualification hopes alive.

Chasing an easy target of 147, DC were 84 for five and 113 for six at various stages of the innings before Rovman Powell (33 not out ) once again displayed his big-hitting prowess to get DC past the target with an over to spare. The hero of the win was certainly Kuldeep Yadav, with a game-changing 4 for 14 when KKR batted.

While DC with 10 points are placed sixth, KKR remained at third from the bottom, and the chopping and changing in the side is a testimony that all is not well in the Shah Rukh Khan-owned franchise's camp.

Whether big bosses, coaching staff and captain Shreyas Iyer are all on same page is a million dollar question at the moment as they suffered a fifth straight defeat.

Defending a total of 146 wasn't easy but Umesh Yadav (3/24) did try his best as he started brilliantly with a diving return catch off the very first delivery of the DC innings to sent Prithvi Shaw (0) back.

David Warner (42 off 26 balls) was in fine touch, adding 65 for the third wicket with Lalit Yadav (22 off 22 balls), as DC cruised along at 82 for two.

But it soon became 84 for five as both the set batters were removed in quick succession and skipper Rishabh Pant (2) played a rank bad shot to bring KKR back in the game.

Axar Patel's (24 off 17 balls) needless run-out after being well-set made it 113 for six, and more importantly, 34 to get in five overs.

KKR captain Shreyas Iyer had to get one over done from his non-regular bowler and Powell took advantage of that, dispatching Venkatesh Iyer for a six off the very first ball. The 17th over yielded 18 runs and it changed the fortunes for Delhi.

Earlier, KKR's much-vaunted batting line-up imploded, failing to get a grip of Kuldeep Yadav's deception and guile before Nitish Rana's half-century became a face-saver.

A host of changes in the playing XI did seem to have affected the balance of KKR as their innings lacked momentum, save Shreyas Iyer (42 off 37 balls) and  Rana (57 off 34 balls), who tried to get a move on.

Rana's partnership of 62 for the seventh wicket with Rinku Singh (23 off 16 balls) proved to be a saving grace after the two-time champions slumped to 83 for six at one stage.

Kuldeep, who is in the middle of a brilliant season, finished with 4 for 14 which included the wickets of Shreyas and the dangerous Andre Russell.

The current geopolitical situation necessitates the Indian Air Force to prepare for intense and small duration operations at a short notice, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said on Thursday.

In an address at a seminar, he also said that there would be a need for the force to prepare for "short swift wars" and be ready for long drawn standoff akin to what has been seen in eastern Ladakh.

Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari said the recent experiences of the Indian Air Force (IAF) as well as the evolving geopolitical scenario mandates it to be operationally and logistically responsive at all times.

"The current geopolitical situation necessitates the Indian Air Force to prepare for intense and small duration operations at a short notice. This new paradigm of high-intensity operations coupled with minimal build-up time would require major changes in terms of operational logistics," he said.

The IAF Chief said logistics support in such a scenario would be extremely challenging considering the fact that the force has a fairly vast and diversified inventory.

Delving into India's security challenges along the northern borders, Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari said the IAF needs to prepare for all possible security challenges.

"In the force, space and time continuum, there would be a need for us to prepare for short swift wars as well as be ready for a long drawn standoff akin to what we are seeing in eastern Ladakh," he said.

The IAF Chief said there will be a need to cater for "resources bridging" and transportation for such contingencies.

"A focused action plan needs to be developed for indigenisation of all critical components in order to achieve the nation's mandate of 'Atma-Nirbharata' (self-reliance)," he said.

Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari said logistics have been identified as a critical tool for the nation's economic progress.

"It has been identified as one of the key drivers for ease of doing business and making Indian supply chains globally competitive," he said.

कल काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय के महिला महाविद्यालय में एक इफ्तार पार्टी का आयोजन किया गया। बीएचयू के अधिकारिक निमंत्रण पत्र में परंपरागत तरीके से इफ्तार पार्टी के मनाने की बात कही गई।

शाम 6:00 बजे इस इफ्तार पार्टी का आयोजन किया गया था। जिसमें कुलपति समेत विश्वविद्यालय के अन्य अधिकारी भी शामिल हुए थे। जैसे ही यह खबर विश्वविद्यालय के छात्रों को लगी इस पर बवाल मचना शुरू हो गया। छात्रों ने इस बात पर अपना प्रतिरोध दर्ज करते हुए कुलपति आवास के बाहर कुलपति सुधीर जैन का पुतला फूंक दिया। छात्रों ने आगे भी इसी मुद्दे पर आंदोलन की चेतावनी दी है।

इफ्तार करना हो तो जाए एएमयू, जामिया

जैसे ही इफ्तार पार्टी की तस्वीर छात्रों के बीच पहुंची, छात्र आक्रोशित हो गए। छात्रों का एक गुट कुलपति आवास  के बाहर पुतला दहन करने पहुंच गया। पुतला दहन करते हुए छात्र नारेबाजी करने लगे। प्रदर्शन करने वाले छात्र शुभम ने कहा की पूर्व वीसी गिरीश चंद त्रिपाठी ने अपने कार्यकाल में नवरात्रि के समय फलाहार की परंपरा शुरू की थी। लेकिन उस परंपरा को खत्म करके इफ्तार की नई परंपरा शुरू की जा रही है, जो कि अस्वीकार्य है। अगर कुलपति महोदय को इफ्तार करना है तो वह एएमयू या जामिया जा सकते हैं यहां उनकी आवश्यकता नहीं है।

वीसी जानते थे कि होगा विरोध इसलिए महिला महाविद्यालय में कराया आयोजन

बीएचयू के शोध छात्र आशीर्वाद दुबे और पतंजलि पांडे ने भी एक स्वर में कहा कि आज तक कभी भी इस तरह से इफ्तार पार्टी का आयोजन काशी हिंदू विश्वविद्यालय में नहीं हुआ है। इसलिए इस बार इस आयोजन के लिए महिला महाविद्यालय को चुना गया ताकि छात्र विरोध करने महिला महाविद्यालय में न जा सकें। यह एक गलत परंपरा डाली जा रही है जिसका छात्र विरोध करेंगे। आगे इस मुद्दे पर आंदोलन तय है।

नई दिल्ली: विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर पश्चिमी दुनिया को खरी-खटी सुनाने को लेकर पिछले कई दिनों से लगातार सुर्खियां बटोर रहे हैं। दिल्ली में आयोजित रायसीना डायलॉग में भी उनका वहीं अंदाज दिखा जब उन्होंने अमीर देशों को कहा कि वो अब भारत से उनकी मुरादें पूरी करने की उम्मीद छोड़ दें। जयशंकर ने कहा कि अब वक्त आ गया है कि दुनिया, भारत को समझे और उसकी के अनुरूप व्यवहार करे। मंगलवार को राष्ट्रीय राजधानी नई दिल्ली स्थित रायसीना डायलॉग (Raisina Dialogue) में भारत के विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर (Foreign Minister S Jaishankar) के साथ यूरोपीय देशों के विदेश मंत्रियों ने भी हिस्सा लिया।

बीत गया वो जमाना जब दुनिया...

जयशंकर ने इस आयोजन में साफ कहा कि भारत अपनी शर्तों पर बाकी देशों से रिश्ते बनाएगा, इसके लिए हमें किसी की सलाह की जरूरत नहीं है। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि हमें दुनिया को खुश रखने के लिए ये जानने की जरूरत नहीं है कि वो कौन हैं बल्कि दुनिया को ये जानना पड़ेगा कि हम कौन हैं। इसके अलावा जयशंकर ने अफगानिस्तान, चीन का मुद्दा समेत कई बातों पर अपनी बात रखी। जयशंकर ने बिना कोई लाग-लपेट कहा कि दुनिया हमारे बारे में राय गढ़े और फिर हम उसकी इच्छा के अनुरूप फैसले लें, यह जमाना लद चुका है। उन्होंने दावा किया कि अगले 25 वर्षों में वैश्वीकरण का केंद्र भारत ही होगा।

रूस-यूक्रेन की नीति पर सवाल उठाने पर यह मिला जवाब

भारत के विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर (S Jaishankar To Europe) ने भारत की रूस-यूक्रेन नीति (Russia-Ukraine Policy) पर सवाल उठाने को लेकर यूरोप पर निशाना साधा। उन्होंने यूरोप को ध्यान दिलाया कि जब एशिया में नियम-आधारित व्यवस्था खतरे में थी तब आप वास्तव में भारत की चिंताओं को दूर करने के लिए पीछे की ओर नहीं झुक रहे थे। एस जयशंकर ने आगे कहा कि एशिया में चुनौतियों के बीच हमें यूरोप की तरफ से और व्यापार करने की सलाह दी जा रही थी। कम से कम हम आपको सलाह तो नहीं दे रहे हैं।

अफगानिस्तान पर पढ़ा दिया पाठ

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने अफगानिस्तान के मुद्दे (Afghanistan Issue) पर यूरोप से कहा कि अफगानिस्तान पर आप मुझे बताइए कि नियम-आधारित व्यवस्था का कौन सा भाग सही ठहराता है जो दुनिया ने वहां पर किया। एस जयशंकर ने आगे कहा कि कोई भी देश टकराव के व्यवहारिक परिणाम नहीं देखना चाहता जैसे ऊर्जा की उंची कीमतें, खाद्य मुद्रास्फीति, दूसरे अवरोध आदि। जयशंकर ने कहा कि इस टकराव में कोई भी विजेता नहीं कहलाएगा।

चीन का नाम लिए बिना साधा निशाना

रायसीना डायलॉग कार्यक्रम (Raisina Dialogue Program) के दौरान एस जयशंकर ने चीन का नाम लिए बगैर कई बड़ी बातें कहीं। जयशंकर ने कहा कि यूरोप पूर्व में एशिया में चीन के आचरण से पैदा हुए सुरक्षा खतरों के प्रति असंवेदनशील रहा है। चीन के साथ सीमा विवाद जैसे मुद्दों पर जयशंकर ने कहा कि यह एक ऐसा क्षेत्र है जहां सीमाएं अब तक स्थिर नहीं हैं। जयशंकर ने आगे कहा कि यूरोप उस वक्त भी असंवेदनशील था जब बीजिंग एशिया को धमका रहा था।

'एशिया में 10 साल से हो रही चीजें यूरोप का नहीं गया ध्यान'

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने अपनी स्पीच में आगे कहा कि यूरोप की तरफ से कई बार बहस की जाती है कि जो चीजें यूरोप में हो रही हैं उसके लिए एशिया को चिंतित होना चाहिए क्योंकि यह चीजें एशिया में भी हो सकती हैं। मैं बताना चाहता हूं कि एशिया में चीजें आज नहीं वहां पिछले 10 सालों से ऐसा हो रहा है लेकिन यूरोप ने कभी मुड़कर नहीं देखा। यह यूरोप के लिए जागने का समय है और केवल यूरोप नहीं बल्कि एशिया की तरफ भी देखने की जरूरत है। जयशंकर ने आगे कहा कि एशिया में आतंकवाद और अस्थिर सीमाएं जैसी समस्याएं हैं। हमें यह भी समझना होगा कि समस्याएं आने वाली नहीं बल्कि आ चुकी हैं।

पटना में बिजली बिल के नाम पर साइबर फ्रॉड, स्मार्ट मीटर यूजर्स को निशाना बना रहे जालसाज

पटना. पटना में साइबर ठगों ने बिजली उपभोक्ताओं को काफी परेशान कर दिया है. बिजली विभाग के नाम पर उपभोक्ताओं को झांसे में लेकर साइबर ठग चूना लगाने में लगे हैं. दरअसल उपभोक्ताओं को पेमेंट नहीं करने के कारण बिजली कनेक्शन काट देने की धमकी दी जाती है. साइबर फ्रॉड के निशाने पर ज्यादातर स्मार्ट मीटर के उपभोक्ता हैं. अब तक कई लोगों को चूना लगाया जा चुका है, खासकर जिन लोगों ने स्मार्ट मीटर लगाया है उनको साइबर फ्रॉड इसी तरीके से मैसेज भेज कर चुना लगा रहे हैं.

मीटर में उपभोक्ता प्रीपेड मोबाइल की तरह पहले रिचार्ज करवाते हैं और फिर बिजली की सुविधा लेते हैं. इस मैसेज के माध्यम से लोगों को डराया जाता है कि आपके घर का बिजली कनेक्शन रात 9:30 बजे से काट दिया जाएगा क्योंकि आपके खाते में पैसा खत्म हो चुका है. साइबर फ्रॉड इस तरह के मैसेज भेजने के पहले इस तरह का मैसेज किसी को भी भेज सकते हैं. पटना के एक बड़े डॉक्टर भी साइबर ठगों की फ्रॉड की ठगी का शिकार होते-होते बचे. उन्हें दो बार इस तरह के मैसेज भेजे गए जबकि उन्होंने पूरे महीने तक का बिजली बिल एडवांस में जमा किया हुआ था.

साइबर ठगों की इस कारस्तानी को लेकर पटना के जाने माने चिकित्सक डॉ राजीव रंजन ने बिजली विभाग में शिकायत दर्ज कराई तब जाकर उन्हें सच्चाई का पता चला. डॉक्टर साहब तो बच गया लेकिन रिटायर्ड शिक्षक अरुण कुमार मिश्र साइबर ठगों के झांसे में आ गए उनके खाते से 49000 रुपये उड़ा लिए गए. पटना में बिजली बिल के नाम पर आए दिन हो रही ठगी को लेकर आर्थिक अपराध इकाई ने उपभोक्ताओं से कई तरह की अपील की है.

अगर इस तरह का एसएमएस आता है तो ऑफिशियल नंबर या कस्टमर केयर के नंबर पर एसएमएस को वेरीफाई करें. आर्थिक अपराध इकाई की टीम इसे लेकर एक मुहिम भी चला रही है. आर्थिक अपराध इकाई से जुड़े रहे साइबर एक्सपर्ट की मानें तो ठगी का शिकार वैसे ही लोग होते हैं जो जल्दबाजी दिखाते हैं. अगर आपको बिजली काटने की धमकी देकर कोई पैसे की डिमांड करता है तो उसका सत्यापन हर हाल में कर ले नहीं तो आप भी ठगी के शिकार हो जाएंगे. साइबर फ्रॉड के जाल में फंसने से बाल-बाल बचे जाने-माने चिकित्सक डॉ राजीव रंजन की मानें तो इस पूरे मामले में बिजली विभाग को साइबर फ्रॉड के ऊपर मिली गई दी जा रही सूचनाओं के आधार पर केस करना चाहिए.

Fatehpur News: फतेहपुर में युवती को अगवाकर धर्म परिवर्तन की कोशिश, मुकदमा दर्ज

डॉ. रामू सिंह परिहार, फ़तेहपुर: उत्तर प्रदेश के फतेहपुर जिले में धर्मांतरण के मामले रुकने का नाम नही ले रहे हैं। शनिवार को जिले में एक बार फिर ऐसा ही का मामला सामने आया है। यहां गाजीपुर थाना क्षेत्र में बाजार जा रही एक किशोरी को अगवा कर जबरन धर्म परिवर्तन करवाने का आरोप लगा है। पीड़िता के पिता की तहरीर पर पुलिस ने दोनों युवकों के खिलाफ छेड़छाड़, अपहरण और धर्म परिवर्तन संबंधी धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज किया है।

पिता ने दी तहरीर

उत्तर प्रदेश के विभिन्न जिलों में धर्मांतरण के मामले सामने आ रहे हैं। ताजा मामला फ़तेहपुर जिले के गाजीपुर थाना क्षेत्र का है। जहां थाना क्षेत्र के एक गांव निवासी व्यक्ति ने अपनी बेटी के अपहरण और जबरन धर्म परिवर्तन कराने का आरोप गांव के ही दो युवकों पर लगाया है। इसको लेकर पीड़िता के पिता ने गाजीपुर थाने में तहरीर दी है।

रास्ते मे किशोरी को किया अगवा

तहरीर के मुताबिक, पीड़ित की बेटी कपड़ा खरीदने बाजार जा रही थी। आरोप है कि रास्ते मे पहले से घात लगाए बैठे मुस्लिम समुदाय के दो युवकों ने उसे जबरन अगवा कर बाइक पर बैठा लिया और गांव के सैयद बाबा के मज़ार पर ले जाकर धर्म परिवर्तन कराने के बाद निकाह करने का प्रयास किया। इस दौरान बेटी के अपहरण की जानकारी मिलते ही परिजन उसकी तलाश में निकल पड़े। जैसे ही परिजन सैयद बाबा की मज़ार के पास पहुंचे तो दोनों युवक किशोरी को छोड़कर मौके से भाग गए। पीड़िता के पिता की तहरीर पर पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है। सीओ जाफरगंज अनिल कुमार ने बताया कि एक किशोरी को अगवाकर धर्मांतरण के मामले में दो आरोपियों के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया गया है। आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर अग्रिम कार्रवाई की जा रही है।

एक महीने के भीतर धर्म परिवर्तन का पांचवां मामला

गौरतलब हो कि एक महीनों के भीतर जिले के विभिन्न थाना क्षेत्रों में धर्म परिवर्तन के पांच मामले सामने आ चुके हैं। बीते 31 मार्च को ललौली थाना क्षेत्र के कस्बे में एक शादीशुदा महिला को मुस्लिम समुदाय का युवक मोनू खान अगवाकर गाज़ियाबाद ले गया और मस्जिद में धर्मांतरण करवाकर जबरन उससे निकाह कर लिया था। गाज़ीपुर थाना क्षेत्र के जुकरा गांव में 31 मार्च को ही परीक्षा देने जा एक छात्रा को रास्ते से मुस्लिम समुदाय के युवक मिर्ज़ा साबिर ने अपहरण कर बांदा ले गया और वहां उसका धर्मांतरण कर जबरन निकाह कर लिया। इसी तरह खागा कोतवाली के बहलोलपुर एलई गांव में 10 अप्रैल को एक नाबालिग को मुस्लिम युवक शोएब उर्फ शीबू अपने सहयोगियों के साथ मिलकर अगवा कर लिया था। पुलिस ने मामले में नाबालिग लड़की को बरामद तो कर लिया, लेकिन आरोपी अभी भी पुलिस की गिरफ्त से दूर हैं। इसके बाद थरियांव थाना क्षेत्र के अम्बापुर गांव से 11 अप्रैल को एक नाबालिग लड़की को मुस्लिम आरोपी तौफीक उर्फ सलमान बहला फुसलाकर भगा ले गया था। इस मामले में पुलिस ने लड़की को कानपुर से बरामद कर आरोपी को जेल भेज चुकी है।

At least two dozen structures have been destroyed in a fast-moving wildfire in rural northern Arizona that ballooned to over 9 square miles (23 square kilometers) Tuesday, Coconino County Sheriff Jim Driscoll said during a news conference.

The county declared an emergency Tuesday as winds whipped the flames, shut down a major highway and grounded aircraft that could drop water and fire retardant. County officials said 766 homes and 1,000 animals have been evacuated.

A couple of hundred homes are still threatened as smoke billowed into the air in an all-too-familiar scene. Residents recalled scrambling to pack their bags and flee a dozen years ago during a much-larger wildfire burned in the same area. Driscoll said  sheriff's office got a call saying a man was trapped in his house, but that firefighters couldn't get to him.

They do not know if he survived. Flame lengths are as up as 100 feet (30 meters) high, the U.S. Forest Service said. Firefighters on Tuesday were up against 50 mph (80 kph) gusts that pushed the wildfire over the highway and weren't expected to let up much this week, authorities said.

"It's blowing hard, and we have ash falling on highway," said Coconino County sheriff's spokesman Jon Paxton. About 200 firefighters were working blaze that appeared to be moving northeast away from more heavily populated areas of Flagstaff, toward Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument and volcanic cinders, said Coconino National Forest spokesman Brady Smith. "It's good in that it's not headed toward a very populated area, and it's headed toward less fuel," he said. "But depending on intensity of fire, fire can still move across cinders."

A top-level national fire management team is expected to take over later this week.Fire and law enforcement agencies that were knocking on doors to warn of evacuations Tuesday were forced to pull out to avoid getting  trapped by the flames, Paxton said. Arizona Public Service Co. Shutoff power to about 625 customers to keep firefighters safe, a spokeswoman said.

मॉस्को: यूक्रेन में जारी युद्ध के बीच रूस ने आरएस-28 सरमत मिसाइल का परीक्षण (RS-28 Sarmat Test) कर तहलका मचा दिया है। यह मिसाइल (RS-28 Sarmat Missile) नेक्स्ट जेनरेशन के परमाणु वॉरहेड के साथ हमला करने में सक्षम है। इसकी ऑपरेशनल रेंज 18000 किलोमीटर (RS-28 Sarmat Range) से ज्यादा की है। इस परीक्षण की जानकारी खुद रूस के राष्ट्रपति राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन (Vladimir Putin Missile Test) ने दी है। उन्होंने बताया कि रूस ने सरमत अंतरमहाद्वीपीय बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल का सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया है। ऐसे में क्रेमलिन के दुश्मनों को अब दो बार सोचना होगा। कुछ दिनों पहले ही अमेरिका और यूक्रेन ने आशंका जताई है कि यूक्रेन युद्ध को खत्म करने के लिए पुतिन परमाणु हथियारों का इस्तेमाल कर सकते हैं।

कितनी ताकतवर है सरमत मिसाइल

RS-28 सरमत सुपरहैवी इंटरकॉन्टिनेंटल बैलिस्टिक मिसाइल है। इसकी कमान रूस की स्ट्रैटजिक रॉकेट फोर्सेज के हाथ में होती है। इस मिसाइल को रूसी कंपनी मेकयेव रॉकेट डिज़ाइन ब्यूरो ने डिजाइन किया है। यह मिसाइल 2009 से अंडर ट्रायल है, इसे 2022 में ही रूसी सेना में कमीशन करने का प्लान है। ऐसे में वर्तमान परीक्षण को भी इसी से जोड़कर देखा जा रहा है। इस मिसाइल का मास 208.1 मीट्रिक टन है, जबकि लंबाई 35.5 मीटर और गोलाई 3 मीटर है। एक RS-28 सरमत मिसाइल के अंदर 10 से 15 वॉरहेड लगे होते हैं, जो दूसरे फेज में हाई स्पीड से अलग-अलग जगहों पर निशाना साध सकते हैं।

25560 किलोमीटर /घंटा की है स्पीड

भारी भरकम RS-28 सरमत मिसाइल को पावर देने के लिए आरडी-274 लिक्विड रॉकेट इंजन लगाया गया है। इस मिसाइल की ऑपरेशन रेंज 18000 किलोमीटर है। यह मिसाइल मैक 20.7 (लगभग 25560 किलोमीटर /घंटा) की स्पीड से उड़ान भर सकती है। इस मिसाइल को एस-400 के जैसे साइलो से लॉन्च किया जा सकता है। RS-28 सरमत को रूस का सबसे खतरनाक रणनीतिक हथियार माना जाता है। इस मिसाइल का अनावरण 1 मार्च 2018 को खुद राष्ट्रपति पुतिन ने किया था। यह मिसाइल 10 टन तक के विस्फोटकों को ले जाने में सक्षम है।

पटना : पेट्रोल, डीजल और सीएनजी की कीमतों (Petrol Diesel Rate in Bihar) में लगातार हो रही बढ़ोतरी से आम लोगों की मुश्किलें बढ़ी हुई हैं। इस बीच पटना में पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट का इस्तेमाल करने वालों को तगड़ा झटका लग सकता है। पटना में ऑटो और बस संचालक किराये में 30 फीसदी तक की बढ़ोतरी की मांग कर रहे हैं। वहीं पेट्रोल-डीजल के दामों में बढ़ोतरी के विरोध में ऑल इंडिया रोड ट्रांसपोर्ट वर्कर्स फेडरेशन, बिहार के सदस्यों ने रविवार को प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने पटना जंक्शन से डाक बंगला क्रॉसिंग तक विरोध मार्च निकाला। साथ ही किराये में बढ़ोतरी की मांग रखी।

ट्रांसपोर्ट वर्कर्स फेडरेशन ने रखी मांग

ऑल इंडिया रोड ट्रांसपोर्ट वर्कर्स फेडरेशन-बिहार के महासचिव राज कुमार झा ने कहा कि वो परिवहन आयुक्त के पास किराए में 30 फीसदी बढ़ोतरी की अपनी मांग रखेंगे। एसोसिएशन के सदस्यों ने कहा कि अगर परिवहन आयुक्त की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति उनके प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी नहीं देती है तो भी वे किराए में बढ़ोतरी करेंगे। इसकी वजह है बढ़ती लागत और ईंधन की कीमतों को लगातार हो रहा इजाफा। उन्होंने कहा कि महंगाई की वजह से उनके लिए मौजूदा किराये पर गाड़ियों को चलाना असंभव हो गया है।

पटना में जानिए कितना बढ़ सकता है किराया

एसोसिएशन ने किराये में बढ़ोतरी का जो फैसला लिया है उस पर नजर डालें तो यात्रियों को अब गांधी मैदान से पटना जंक्शन के लिए 13 रुपये और गांधी मैदान से दानापुर के लिए 39 रुपये का भुगतान करना होगा। वहीं अभी गांधी मैदान से पटना जंक्शन का वर्तमान किराया 10 रुपये और गांधी मैदान से दानापुर का किराया 30 रुपये है। दूसरे रूट पर भी इसी के तहत यात्री किराये में बढ़ोतरी का फैसला लिया गया है।

नई दिल्ली: हिजाब विवाद, हलाल और झटका मीट विवाद के बाद अब देश में लाउडस्पीकर (loudspeaker controversy) पर अजान का विवाद तेज होता जा रहा है. कुछ लोग लाडस्पीकर में अजान (Azaan controversy) का विरोध कर रहे हैं तो कुछ लोग इसको इस्लाम का हिस्सा बता कर इसका समर्थन कर रहे हैं. इन सब विवादों के बीच अब नासिक के कमिश्नर ने बड़ा आदेश दिया है. नए आदेश के बाद अब नासिक में लाउडस्पीकर में हनुमान चालीसा (loudspeaker Hanuman Chalisa) या भजन चलाने के लिए विशेष अनुमति लेनी पड़ेगी.

नासिक पुलिस कमिश्नर ने कहा कि लाउडस्पीकर में भजन या फिर हनुमान चालीसा बजाने के लिए परमीशन लेनी पड़ेगी, लेकिन अजान से पहले या फिर 15 मिनट बाद तक इसकी इजाजत नहीं दी जाएगी. इतना ही नहीं नए आदेश के मुताबिक किसी भी मस्जिद के 100 मीटर के दायरे में लाउडस्पीकर से हनुमान चालीसा बजाने की अनुमति नहीं होगी.

कमिश्नर दीपक पांडे ने कहा कि इस तरह के आदेश का एकमात्र उद्देश्य कानून व्यवस्था को बनाए रखना है. उन्होंने कहा कि सभी धार्मिक स्थलों को 3 मई तक लाउडस्पीकर के इस्तेमाल की इजाजत लेनी होगी और अगर कोई 3 मई के बाद आदेश का उल्लंघन करता हुआ पाया जाता है तो उसके खिलाफ सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई होगी.

काबुल: पाकिस्तान ने अफगानिस्तान में एयरस्ट्राइक की है. इसमें महिला-बच्चों समेत 47 नागरिकों की मौत हो गयी. इससे अफगानिस्तान की तालिबान सरकार बेहद नाराज है. अफगानिस्तान की तालिबान सरकार ने पाकिस्तान के राजदूत को तलब किया और अपनी आपत्ति दर्ज करवायी.

पाकिस्तान का उग्रवादी संगठन है टीटीपी

हालांकि, पाकिस्तान का कहना है कि उसने अफगानिस्तान में स्थित तहरीक-ए-तालिबान पाकिस्तान (टीटीपी) नामक उग्रवादी संगठन के ठिकानों को निशाना बनाकर एयरस्ट्राइक की है. पाकिस्तान की सेना ने यह हमला पाकिस्तान के उत्तरी वजीरिस्तान में हुए दो आतंकवादी हमलों के बाद किया है. पाकिस्तान की सेना ने कहा है कि आतंकवादि हमलों में उसके 8 जवान शहीद हो गये थे.

अफगानिस्तान के अधिकारियों ने की हमले की पुष्टि

अफगानिस्तान के स्थानीय अधिकारियों ने इस हमले की पुष्टि की. बताया कि पाकिस्तानी विमानों ने शुक्रवार की रात को ही खोस्त प्रांत पर हवाई हमले किये. पाकिस्तान की ओर से किये गये इस हमले में अफगानिस्तान के बच्चों और महिलाओं सहित 47 नागरिकों की मौत हो गयी.

पाकिस्तान के राजदूत को चेतावनी

उधर, अफगानिस्तान की तालिबान सरकार ने इस हमले पर नाराजगी जतायी है. पाकिस्तान के राजदूत मंसूर अहमद खान को तलब किया और चेतावनी दी कि भविष्य में इस तरह की कोई कार्रवाई नहीं होनी चाहिए.

Three Chinese astronauts returned to Earth on Saturday after six months aboard China's newest space station in the longest crewed mission to date for its ambitious space program.

The Shenzhou 13 space capsule landed in the Gobi desert in the northern region of Inner Mongolia, shown live on state TV.

During the mission, astronaut Wang Yaping carried out the first spacewalk by a Chinese woman. Wang and crewmates Zhai Zhigang and Ye Guangfu beamed back physics lessons for high school students.

China launched its first astronaut into space in 2003 and landed robot rovers on the moon in 2013 and on Mars last year. Officials have discussed a possible crewed mission to the moon.

गोपालगंज : बिहार के पूर्व सीएम और हिन्दुस्तानी आवाम मोर्चा के अध्यक्ष जीतन राम मांझी (Jitan ram Manjhi) अपने बयानों को लेकर अक्सर सियासी चर्चा में बने रहते हैं। 

मांझी ने एक बार फिर से भगवान राम  (Lord Ram) को लेकर बयान दिया है। उन्होंने एक बार फिर से कहा है कि मैं गोस्वामी तुलसीदास और वाल्मीकि को मानता हूं, लेकिन राम को मैं नहीं मानता हूं। मांझी ने कहा कि राम कोई भगवान नहीं थे। वह गोस्वामी तुलसीदास व वाल्मीकि के एक काव्य पात्र थे। 

इस बयान के बाद बिहार में सियासी बयानबाजी का दौर तेज हो गया है। विपक्षी दल राष्ट्रीय जनता दल (RJD) ने पूर्व सीएम के बयान के बाद कहा है कि वे खबरों में बने रहने के लिए ऐसा बयान देते हैं तो वहीं बीजेपी का कहना है कि मांझी को अपने दिमाग का इलाज कराना चाहिए।

Root's decision comes after the 0-1 Test series defeat to West Indies last month, and the 0-4 Ashes loss to Australia in the winter.

"It has been the most challenging decision I have had to make in my career," Root said Friday, "but having discussed this with my family and those closest to me, I know the timing is right."

The 31-year-old Root holds the record for the highest number of wins as England's Test captain, his 27 putting him one ahead of Michael Vaughan and three ahead of Alastair Cook and Andrew Strauss.

Skipper Hardik Pandya enhanced his reputation as a number four batter with an unbeaten 87 off 52 balls as Gujarat Titans trounced Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs in the Indian Premier League here on Thursday.

Hardik, whose strike rate and approach has been questioned at his new position, played responsibly when it was needed before displaying the power he is known for to lead Titans to 192 for four after being sent into bat.

The in form Jos Buttler (54 off 24) provided another flying start to Royals but the rest of the batting unit did not deliver as the innings ended at 155 for nine in 20 overs.      Young left-arm pacer Yash Dayal (3/40) impressed on IPL debut while Lockie Ferguson (3/23)) got the important wicket of Buttler, who was deceived by the New Zealander's slow yorker after a series of quick deliveries.

Ferguson also dismissed Ravichandran Ashwin in the same over after the senior India spinner was promoted to bat at number three.

The other notable contribution to Royals' innings came from Shimron Hetmyer (29 off 17). From 56 for one, Royals slipped to 90 for five and could not recover from there on.

Hardik, who has been bowling regularly this season, also picked up a wicket but he took himself off the attack in the 18th over after feeling a little discomfort in the groin area.

With their fourth win in five games, Titans displaced Royals from the top of the points table. It was Royals' second loss in five games.

Earlier, Hardik  found an able ally in Abhinav Manohar (43 off 28) before he exploded in the company of David Miller (31 not out off 14) to power the IPL debutants to their highest score of the tournament.

Hardik and Manohar shared an 86-run stand for the fourth wicket before the skipper and Miller blasted 53 off 25 balls to end the innings in style.

After being put in to bat, Gujarat found themselves reeling at 53 for three.

While Hardik's 52-ball knock was studded with eight fours and four sixes, Manohar struck four fours and two maximums.

Miller, who overall hit five boundaries and a six, fetched 21 runs in the penultimate over off Kuldeep Sen (1/51).

To start with, Hardik was aggressive on pacer Kuldeep as he hammered him for three successive boundaries in the fifth over.

He then fetched his first maximum in the seventh over, when he clobbered Riyan Parag over his head.

The duo upped the ante when Manohar launched into inform Yuzvendra Chahal, hammering him for a four and maximum, a lofted inside-out drive over cover.

The two then took on Kuldeep, hammering him for three boundaries in the 14th over, where Hardik also notched up his fifty, with a cut towards backward point fence.

And in the next over, Hardik clobbered two successive maximums off seasoned spinner Ashwin, who leaked 16 runs in the over.

With Titans reaching 130 for three in 15 overs, the stage was set for a big total.

After Manohar departed, Miller ably supported the skipper.

Titans lost opener Matthew Wade (12) cheaply, courtesy a direct hit by Rassie Van Der Dussen from cover.

Titans slipped to 15/2, as Vijay Shakar (2) also perished cheaply and then a rusty looking Shubman Gill (13) became Parag's first victim, after he was caught by Shimron Hetymyer at the long-on fence.

Royals missed the services of lead pacer Trent Boult who was ruled out of the game due to a niggle.

No specific words against any community were uttered during an event held here in December last year, the Delhi Police has told the Supreme Court which is hearing a plea seeking direction to ensure investigation and action against those who allegedly made hate speeches during two events held in Haridwar and Delhi.

In a counter affidavit filed in the apex court, the Delhi Police has said the petitioners had not approached them for taking any action in connection with the alleged incident and have directly moved the top court and such a practice must be deprecated.

The top court is hearing a petition filed by journalist Qurban Ali and former Patna High Court judge and senior advocate Anjana Prakash, who have also sought a direction for an "independent, credible and impartial investigation" by an SIT into the incidents of hate speeches against the Muslim community.

In its affidavit, the Delhi Police has said that on the same subject matter, some complaints were lodged alleging that hate speech was made at an event organised here by the ‘Hindu Yuva Vahini' on December 19 last year and all those complaints were consolidated and an inquiry was initiated.

It said after a “deep enquiry” was conducted and contents of the video were evaluated, the police did not find any substance in the video as per allegation levelled by the complainants.

“In the video clip of the Delhi incident, there is no utterance against any particular section/community. Hence, after inquiry and after evaluation of the alleged video clip, it was concluded that the alleged speech did not disclose any hate words against a particular community as alleged or otherwise,” the affidavit said, adding that all complaints were thereafter closed.

It said the police, after carrying out preliminary inquiry on the complaints and after examining the video link and attached video in respect of the alleged hate speech delivered at Delhi, found that no such words as mentioned by the complainant in his complaint have been used.

“Bare perusal of the complaints made, the statement, which are alleged to be offensive, would divulge that there is no specific words against a particular community or against any community were uttered by the gathering or any other person in that event,” the affidavit said.

“There is no use of such words which mean or could be interpreted as ‘open calls for genocide of Muslims in order to achieve ethnic cleansing or an open call for murder of an entire community' in the speech,” the police said.

It said no hate was expressed in the event at Delhi against any group, community, ethnicity, religion or faith, the speech was about empowering one's religion to prepare itself to face the evils which could endanger its existence, which is not even remotely connected to a call for genocide of any particular religion.

“We must practice tolerance to the views of others. Intolerance is as much dangerous to democracy as to the person himself. That the petitioner is trying to draw an incorrect and absurd inference by isolated passages disregarding the main theme and its message,” it said, adding that the petition, so far it relates to the alleged incident at Delhi, is devoid of any merit and ought to be dismissed with cost.

The affidavit further said the petitioners did not choose to follow any of the legally established mechanism for registration of a criminal case and had directly approached the apex court.

“This court must deprecate and discourage such practices, else it will open up the floodgates before this court, which is already overburdened,” it said.

Ali, who is one of the petitioners in the apex court, said their contentions are "not baseless".

"We stand by what we have said in our petition. The matter is before the Supreme Court. We will file an appropriate response before the court," he told PTI.  

The apex court had on Wednesday asked the Uttarakhand government to file a status report after the state had said that four FIRs have been registered in connection with the alleged hate speeches made in December last year during an event in Haridwar.

The top court has listed the plea for hearing on April 22.
