India’s top order fought back on the third day of the Headingley Test. At stumps, Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara were unbeaten at the crease with India trailing by 139 runs. India will be resuming their innings on the fourth day from 215/2.
England are still in pole position for a series-levelling victory in the third Test against India after Joe Root’s 23rd Test ton guided the hosts to 432 in the first innings, boasting a massive lead of 354. England, who began the day at 423/8, managed to bat for less than half an hour on the third day of the third Test at Headingley with Mohammed Shami (4/95) and Jasprit Bumrah (2/59) removing Craig Overton and Ollie Robinson respectively. India reached the end of the first session on 34/1 with KL Rahul (8) being the sole dismissal.
